Our True Shepherd

Today we learned the qualities of a shepherd. He would walk ahead of them and lead them, he would call them by name, he would risk his life for them. His sheep would come when they were called but not follow a stranger. Jesus used these well-known ideas about sheep and shepherds to teach about His relationship to His followers. We also discussed John 10:16 where he talks about his "other" sheep. We know from 3Nephi 15:21 in the Book of Mormon that Jesus was referring to the Nephites on the American continent. The Book of Mormon is truly another testimony of Christ.
