Superbowl Friday

Coach Russell (Cardinals) and Coach Matt (Steelers) faced off in the 2nd biggest anticipated game of the year during Superbowl Friday today! It was unfortunately no match for the Cardinals as they shut out the hopeful Steelers 30-0! Coach Russell really had the winning "spirit" with him! He even allowed his opponents to block the Scripture Mastery Field goal!! (what a guy-ha ha!)

Special thanks to the Pep Squad..Tristain, Stuart, Kaity & Rhiannon! Not only did they cheer but they kept score and served refreshments!!

Coach Matt and his Superbowl hopefuls....didn't quite "Steel" the game. Better luck next year!

Witness Protection Plan

Many people in the early Church were witnesses of the resurrected Lord. The Book of Acts 1:3 refers to "many infallible proofs". We were able to hear from several of those "witnesses" today as they shared their experiences of being part of God's "plan" to "protect" us from the teachings of the non-believers. Mary Magdalene (Natalie), Peter (Stuart), Cleopas-one of the disciples on the road to Emmaus (Jordan), and the other Mary (Rhiannon)..see video below

MTV Rap Show

Keeping the tradition going since New Testament times, Stuart, Jordan, Abi and their bands performed on the annual MTV (Mormon Television) Rap Show today rapping- of course to their favorite scripture mastery scriptures.

As always, the show was held at the world famous Hard ROCK Cafe (nice ring to that name!!)

Kaity is our STAR this week. She has a contagious smile and a great sense of humor and that competitive gaming edge (like her dad). I love that Kaity always raises her hand when I need a volunteer! When we have a discussion, she doesn't give an obvious answer, but looks for the spiritual insight..which is so amazing! Order in the Court!

Today Stuart was on trial! Matt was the judge and listened to arguments from Kaity (our defense atty) and Rachel (the prosecuting atty). Stuart looked pretty innocent to me!-haha! One of the jurors (leaning on the green scripture bag) was praying for Stuart the whole time! :)

We then talked about Christ being our advocate and through our repentance and obedience, we allow Him to intercede on our behalf to our Father in Heaven.

I love Meryl! She truly radiates the gospel in her countenance, her example and her testimony. She shares thoughtful insights when we discuss the scriptures and always has a positive attitude....what a beautiful young woman she is!
